Using Wheatgrass To Heal Bruises
Bruising can occur at any time whether as the result of an accident or a sporting injury. The usual treatment is to apply ice to the affected area and then use a compression bandage. If you have ever tried to put ice on children to treat a bruise you will know that they don't like it and are reluctant to accept that particular "cure". And there is a good reason for that. Ice can actually cause further deep tissue damage. After all, our bodies are designed to operate at a much higher temperature than that of ice.
While ice may numb the pain sometimes, it will not stop bleeding. The large, dark appearance of a bruise is caused by the damaged tissue allowing blood to excape the cells and pool under the skin and within the tissues and fat. It is dark because the blood is not being oxygenated (unless there is an open wound) as it is no longer within the circulatory system.
The impressive photos below are taken from Dr Chris Reynold's website and show how a bruise suffered by a player during a football game reduced dramatically less than 24 hours after the application of wheatgrass cream. Dr Reynolds is a medical practitioner who has been practising for more than 20 years. He has a lot of evidence showing the efficacy of wheatgrass in the treatment of a range of conditions.

The photo on the left shows the bruise about two hours after it happened and before the wheatgrass cream was applied. The photo on the right shows the bruise less than 24 hours later. The bruise has almost completely disappeared and only the abrasion on the skin where the boot contacted the player's head still remains.
Despite the strong photographic evidence, I like to try things myself and see whether I get similar resulte before I can recommend aomething to others. Having some very active children, I had occasion to use Dr Wheatgrass SuperBalm on two of my daughters to treat bruising. One bruise was the result of a fall while playing and the other occurred after a tick was removed. Both bruises were gently covered with the Superbalm and 2 hours later the swelling had almost completely disappeared. Having treated bruises and had to remove ticks from them previously I know that the swelling does not reduce as quickly as it did when the wheatgrass superbalm was applied. The major benefits as far as I am concerned are that it is natural, and the kids didn't complain when it was applied (as they are wont to do when ice is used).
A win-win situation for us all.
